Nordstrom Bank, which is a subsidiary of Nordstrom, is a federally chartered bank.  While the parent company of Nordstrom has its headquarters in Seattle, Washington, Nordstrom Bank maintains its primary offices in Scottsdale, Arizona.  As most people know, the company Nordstrom is an affluent department store that has branches in 28 states.  This high-end department store is best known for selling top brand clothing lines, trendy perfumes and colognes, expensive jewelry, fashionable shoes, cosmetics, and the list goes on.

Then for Nordstrom Bank both personal and business customers are offered with a variety of bank services, as well as credit card options.  For instance, customers can open a checking account that pays interest, credit cards backed by Visa, money market accounts, Certificates of Deposit that offer competitive rates, and much more.  The purpose of establishing the Nordstrom Bank is to provide shopping customers with high quality banking to compliment the high quality shopping experience.

The goal in opening the Nordstrom Bank was to develop innovative banking products and services that customers might not otherwise be able to enjoy.  For instance, today the Nordstrom Bank has a variety of innovative credit card products whereby customers can spend time shopping in any of the Nordstrom stores without worrying about carrying around cash for purchases.

Officials of the Nordstrom Bank realized that every customer would have a unique need, which meant that the credit cards offered needed to be unique and flexible.  The result was the creation of five distinct credit cards, each with low Annual Percentage Rates or APRs, as well as no annual fee required.  Even better, the credit cards provided by the Nordstrom Bank are setup as rewards cards so every time a purchase is made, the customer benefits.

By using any of the five credit cards offered through the Nordstrom Bank, not only do customers enjoy the convenience of the card but they also earn rewards points when purchases are made with the card.  Once 2,000 rewards points have been accumulated, the Nordstrom Bank reimburses the customer with $20 worth of credit that can be used for any item sold within the Nordstrom stores.  In addition, these cards earn bonus points throughout the year associated with special offers.

Although all of the credit cards offered through the Nordstrom Bank are considered excellent choices, features that customers enjoy are connected with the following credit cards:

•    Visa Signature Card – For this Nordstrom Bank card, for every $1 spent on merchandise sold at Nordstrom’s stores, whether online or in person would be rewarded with two points.  In addition, whenever this Visa card was used for purchases made at non-Nordstrom stores, one reward point would be earned.  The cardholder would also earn rewards points specific to travel, personal concierge services, and access to some of the finest venues in the world simply by shopping with this Nordstrom Bank card.

•    Platinum Visa – Another popular card provided by the Nordstrom Bank comes with benefits such as lost luggage coverage, a rental car collision damage waiver, and when the card is used for purchases from Nordstrom two rewards points would be earned and one point when shopping at other stores.
