List of Commercial Banks

For businesses of all sizes and venues, as well as non-profit organizations and government entities, commercial banks are a key part of overall success.  These banks are designed to provide a variety of financial services that can address specific needs relating to the business world.  Along with standard services such as commercial loans, money market accounts, checking accounts, and savings accounts, commercial banks also provide numerous specialty services designed to help a business succeed.

Keep in mind that “commercial bank” is an umbrella term that could relate to several types of banks such as investment banks.  When needing the services of a bank of this kind, it would be important to identify a list of commercial banks that have the exact products and services needed immediately but also banks that have the capability and flexibility to continue providing high quality assistance as the business grows.

Whether the list of commercial banks includes those in foreign countries or only those located in the United States, the goal is to choose the bank that can offer assistance with cash flow and financial stability.  As an example, if a company receives payments from customers, a bank that could process the incoming money using a number of methods would be beneficial.  This might include electronic funds transfer, telegraphic transfer, or the most convenient option, internet banking.

Another consideration when looking at a list of commercial banks is choosing the one that has the ability to lend money, again as a means of growing a business.  Many companies use commercial loans throughout the years of operation, sometimes to get through a tight financial situation and sometimes to keep up with significant and fast growth.  Regardless of the need, finding a bank off the list of commercial banks that can provide both secured and unsecured loans would be recommended.

Additionally, a bank off the list of commercial banks that can help companies dealing with the real estate sector with mortgage loans would also be advised.  With the downturn of the economy seen in the past three years, many investors are taking advantage of low housing and business real estate.  Therefore, working with a commercial bank that provides mortgage loans specific to buying real estate for commercial purposes along with providing the standard commercial banking products and services would make everything easier.

Some of the other areas in which institutions on the list of commercial banks would serve business owners best is with providing trading and import financial documentation to include standby letters of credit, performance bonds, balance sheet guarantees, security underwriting commitments, etc.  In this case, the banks should also take the role of keeping these important documents secure and safe in the bank’s vault or by offering the customer a safe deposit box.

The list of commercial banks that provide high quality products and services worldwide is actually quite lengthy but we wanted to offer a list of commercial banks that are considered the top five globally.

2.    Banco Santander – For anyone needed a commercial bank that specializes in international retail services, this bank is a great option, one with over 14,000 branches and geographical diversification.
