First established in 1991, the ABN AMRO Bank has become a viable financial institution providing customers with a wide range of products and services.  This Dutch bank is owned by RFS Holdings BV, which is a part of other financial institutions to include Banco Santander, the Royal Bank of Scotland Group, and the Government of Netherlands.  To form the ABN AMRO Bank, a merger between ABN and Amsterdam-Rotterdam Bank was completed.  However, in 2007 the ABN AMRO Bank was acquired by Banco Santander, RBS, and Fortis.
